MTV Shuga: Down South – Episode Two Recap

MTV Shuga: Down South is already living up to its promise of being the most exciting edition of the African drama.

On episode two we take a deeper look at our character’s stories and discover that not everything is as innocent as it looks on the outside. Zamo’s story is one of the main highlights as we see her dealing with the pressures of trying to live a double life. On the one hand, her responsibilities are not going away; on the other, however, she wants to be the life of the party.

She’s forced to make several decisions throughout the episode, all while trying to maintain her “It-Girl” image. While this is taking place, Zamo’s crush, Reggie, is faced with pressures of a different kind. Not only does he have to deal with his father at home, but the two manage to clash at school and let’s just say that Reggie doesn’t walk away smiling from this.

Khensani is also back at school and we finally get a look at her new boo, Lionel. However, he’s not exactly what (or who) we thought he would be.

Bongi and Quinton weave their way into the adventure as we get a glimpse at both school and party life in Zenzele. This episode will fly by and leave you begging for more!
