MTV Shuga: Down South Hits Your Screens

Tuesday the 8th March was a big day in the MTV Shuga calendar. After months and months of tireless work, MTV Shuga: Down South finally hit our screens. Never to do things by halves, we took MTV Shuga over to the UK, for the London Premiere of #MTVShugaDS.

The Worldwide Premiere in Jozi on the 28th February was LIT. Actors old and new, the world’s press and a whole lot of Shugacrew came by to show some love for the new season. The response was crazy and the excitement for the new season reached new heights.

Yet, London showed that it can get down with the very best of them, with its very own tribute to the Shugafam. Taking place at the Curzon Renoir cinema in London Town, ‘Leo’, played by Nick Mutuma, and ‘Tsholo’, played by Stephanie Sandows, rolled through for the European premiere of #MTVShugaDS. The vibe was dope and our UK squad came through and absolutely LOVED what they saw. Whilst episode one reached people all over Mzansi, two hours behind London was getting its very first dose of the new series.

When we say MTV Shuga has gone global, that’s exactly what we mean! Carrying on with our international set of premieres, we’re moving from Jozi to London, and now taking it back to day dot in Nairobi on Monday the 27th March ! Still not content, we’ll be hitting Washington D.C. the very same day as Nairobi to bring MTV Shuga to our American cousins.
#MTVShugaDS is set to be our biggest season yet.
