My partner wants me to drink alcohol or do drugs before we have sex. What should I do?

First things first, alcohol and drugs do NOT make sex better.

Alcohol and other drugs affect the way we’re feeling, but they don’t make actually sex better. Alcohol and drugs can make someone feel less inhibited—which isn't always a great idea when it comes to sex  (you might be less likely to remember to use a condom). You should ask yourself why your partner is pressuring you to get drunk or take potentially dangerous drugs, during sex. In a respectful relationship, people care about the wellbeing of one another; this includes not asking a partner to do things that they are uncomfortable with. If you have said no and they keep trying to force you it might be time to ask yourself if this relationship is really working.
