Good news, Shuga fam. Ebisinde is longer behind bars! He’s now back with his family, Faa and Tare have never looked happier! So, Faa bailed him out with the money Angel gave to her. Really nice gesture, yes? I feel very uneasy about this entire ‘Angel’ situation. I truly hope my guts are wrong in the end. Sergeant Iyanu really wants to help Faa get justice and is on the lookout for witnesses who will testify against Bada. Let’s see how that turns out.
This episode opened my eyes to the different ways in which parents interact with their children. Diana’s parents scolded her for attending parties and being nonchalant about her education. That was all. Shouts, threats and basically no love or desire to know what the fundamental problem is. Cynthia’s parents, on the other hand, are willing to listen and guide their daughter, now more than ever. And then we have Mrs Olotu who doesn’t want to be associated with her son, Khalil. Do you now see that parenting requires a lot of effort?
Mahmud is being pressured to marry another wife. I was shocked by the whole arrangement and even more surprised that his parents think they have a right to make important decisions for him. The biggest joke here is that the new ‘wife’, Zahra, looks like she should be in school studying, not getting married. How is Mahmud going to deal with this mess? I am so worried for Yasmin!
Guys, Frances is slowly losing it. She’s not willing to speak to anyone. I really think she should seek professional help as soon as possible. I hate seeing her like this.
Finally, it was real talk time for Tobi and his sister, MJ. That was the most emotional part of this episode for me. Tobi did not stand up for MJ when she was molested by her uncle years ago. An all too familiar story, right? He has made a lot of mistakes and now, he has to either fix it somehow or lose his sister again.
If you missed it, episode 2 all the way up to 8 is available on YouTube fam!
