We were practically hanging from the edges of our seats throughout the MTV Shuga Naija Episode 8. Adebola Aduwo takes a deep breath and relives it all
Who could forget the way Faa ended episode 7, as she watched her attacker physically assault her. Well, Bada began episode 8 by leaving her there weak and helpless. I was so upset when Tobi walked in, witnessed the entire situation and still did not do anything to help. He just walked out like he didn’t see anything. Thank goodness Khalil was there to take her to the hospital for medical attention. A forensic examination, with the use of a Rape Kit, was taken to preserve DNA evidence from the rape incident.
After last week's awful incident, Faa (@mynameisbukola) underwent a sexual assault forensic exam, sometimes known as a "rape kit". This will not only make sure she receives the medical care she needs, but also ensure that any DNA evidence is preserved. #MTVShugaNaija pic.twitter.com/CgI38yxjtX

She was also administered Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PeP), an antiretroviral medication used in emergency situations after recent possible exposure to HIV. We can only hope our dear Faa is strong enough to get over this soon.
Back in school, Frances narrated her ordeal to Yasmin and from their conversation, it wasn’t hard to see that she would rather keep suffering in silence than speak to her parents about what she went through. Yasmin encouraged her to see a doctor and even went with her to the hospital to put her at ease.
Hadiza finally showed up, after going missing, and she found refuge at Corper Yasmin’s home. It was a relief to see that she was alright. She just needed an escape from the whole family drama but Yasmin advised her to face her fears once and for all. So she did just that.
I was shocked when I heard her father’s view on education, “What is the use of education for a girl other than to improve her chances of marrying well?” It’s crazy that people still don’t believe in educating the girl child.
Leila, scared that she might be pregnant as she and Tobi had unprotected sex the last time, reached out to him to express her worries. Guess what? Tobi left her to sort it out on her own. Selfish much?!
Diana with the bad advice as usual! 😩😩 what kind of pills did she just get for Leila ooo? 🙆🏾♀️🙆🏾♀️#MTVShugaNaija pic.twitter.com/56cCnLCevB

She realized it was too late to use the morning after pill and resorted to reaching out to Diana for advice. Of all the people in the world, she chose Diana? And this time, the schoolgirl advised Leila to get an abortion. They got pills from a random vendor on the street and we are are all afraid she might harm herself if she continues this way.
At the end of this episode, Faa went to the police station to get justice. Hopefully, this issue will be taken seriously. I am so glad that Hadiza knows her rights and is fighting so hard to be educated. Frances and Faa have also decided not to suffer in silence. Women all around the world need to take a cue from these three. We cannot wait to see how it unfolds in tonight’s episode.
