Open Auditions: MTV Shuga are Looking for Nigeria's Hottest Actors

It’s that time again Shugafam…

After weeks of guessing, wondering and hoping where we would go next, you may have heard that MTV Shuga is coming back to Nigeria.The new season is set to be one of our biggest yet, with hard-hitting storylines, emotional turmoil and nail-biting drama. You can rest assured that there’s going to be a lot of ups and downs.

So, in order to help us tell these stories, we are holding public auditions to recruit Naija’s hottest up-and-coming stars! Now we need YOU to join the crew and show the world what you’re all about.

SO HOW DO YOU ENTER?
Simple.
MTV Shuga will be holding on-the-ground auditions in Lagos, as we search for some serious talent to become part of the cast. Whatever you do, make sure you clear your schedule and check out the details below:

• DATE: Saturday 12th August
• TIME: 8am-6pm (2pm cut off time)
• VENUE: Planet One, 5, Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way, Maryland, Ikeja

Auditions are open to Nigerian residents who are aged 18+. 

If Lagos is a little out of your reach then fear not, we got you covered! We will also be holding online auditions to make sure that no one is left behind, with entries to be submitted between 28th July-23rd August.

The MTV Shuga team will be on hand to check out all of your entries and to make sure that Naija’s hottest talents get their big break.

Students are sat in the school yard working together on a group task; we meet Abbey and Doris, two secondary school students, in mid-conversation

ABBEY
(Bragging)
See babe…no dey use small eye dey look me o.
This is not my level at all. I May be a student in this local school but check me out in a few years; mansion in Banana Island, driving a Range…

Lasgidi big boy!
University is not even in my agenda cos I isn’t gat four years to burn only to end up a broke ass job seeker.
No time mehn.

DORIS
So…what is the back up plan? What happens when you don’t hammer and your dream of a Range lands you in a keke?

ABBEY
God forbid!
You are just hating and I will not forget you said that.

DORIS
(Laughing)
See this one o!
You think you are the only one that can dream.
The difference between yours and mine is that; while I am awake working out my future of being a boss lady, you are still snoring on a bicycle.
Better give yourself brain Mr. Oga.

Like before, the door is wide open for new, fresh-faced talent to join the team. We’ve already announced the return of Jemima Osunde, who played ‘Leila’ in MTV Shuga season 4, as well as her co-stars Timini Egbuson, who will be continuing his role as ‘Tobi’, and Sharon Ezeamaka who picks up from where she left off as ‘Princess’.
