MTV SHUGA 4: Episode 1 Recap

Shuga is back with a bang! How excited where you guys about the first episode?!

So Sophie survived the car accident and has successfully managed to turn her life around. She’s got a hectic career schedule and a younger sister who is dependent on her, but she has also managed to find love. Call her “Super Sophie” as she balances love, family and a career! But who is this lucky guy that turned Sophie from a former ‘Oga runs girl-in-charge’ to a ‘one-man’ woman? You’ll have to watch the episode for that!

Sheila is the new girl on the block, a successful independent woman who has captured Femi’s heart. The two lovebirds appear to be happy in love but how does the rest of the world perceive their magnetic relationship? Sheila is insistent on Femi meeting her parents but he is not convinced that they will be as supportive of their relationship, and their stance on HIV shocks and disappoints Sheila.

Leo’s bromance with Femi continues to grow and the two have become best friends and business partners. Just like Femi, Leo has also found the lady of his dreams and life couldn’t be more perfect right now!

Princess’s life on the other hand is not quite as rosy. Pregnant and HIV+, she is fearful of what the future might hold for her and her baby. While Sophie tries to be there for her, she is not always as supportive. Princess has found her very own saint and Mother Teresa in Eniola, her mentor who has also experienced being HIV+ and pregnant.

Ever the naïve damsel in distress, Princess believes Solomon will rescue her with a cushioned life in her fairytale castle in Parkview Estate, Ikoyi. LOL. Princess sabi dream oh!

Weki has become a real lover boy! He’s dating Leila, the hottest girl in school and his life couldn’t be more perfect! Although he is eager to take their relationship further, he hasn’t quite learnt what it means to be open and honest about his status in his relationship.

Tobi is now quite the ladies man although he has a huge crush on Sheila. After finding out she is Femi’s girl, he ends up having a drunken night which leads to unprotected sex with a stranger. Tobi knows all about safe sex and HIV prevention and is disappointed to find himself in such a situation.
