How would you react if you stumbled upon your ex and their new lover in a store buying condoms? Would you pretend not to see them? Well, Weki was really shocked to see Leila and Tobi buying condoms in the same pharmacy where he was shopping! Yes guys, Weki is back! Leila couldn’t even look at him as she ran off.

The most annoying part for me was when Tobi stopped and looked at Weki with a smirk on his face like, “Boy, I beat you to it!” I really can’t wait to see how this situation turns out. It’s a good thing though, that Leila made her ‘no condom, no sex’ rule clear enough for Tobi to understand. Negotiating safe sex is important in any sexual relationship.

Episode 3 touched on several issues including contraception, teenage motherhood and the negotiation of safe sex. Chike and Diana are already having sex (OMG!) which is illegal on all levels considering their ages. I was even more upset when I discovered that she tried to talk to him about using condoms but he just wasn’t having any of it. My heart sank. She doesn’t even know her safe period! She could get pregnant or even worse get infected with an STD.

Her friends could be in danger too as she has convinced them to show up at a party Chike and his friends are throwing. She took photos of them to show Chike and somehow, Hadiza’s face popped up in the pictures. For some weird reason, Chike is interested in Hadiza and is insisting Diana makes her attend the party. Let’s not forget Diana and Hadiza aren’t best of friends. Something is not right.

Then there’s our dearest Faa who looks like she needs a big hug. She got blacklisted because she ran off in the middle of a video shoot. We know she did this because she was worried sick about Tare’s safety. It’s quite sad that she’s in a bad place now and we can only hope something good happens to her soon. Meanwhile, Ebisinde is trying so hard to prove he’s the man of the house but he’s doing so in all the wrong ways – betting and getting into fights at school. Their family really needs an intervention, and fast!

Life is moving so fast for Princess as she still has so much to figure out. I honestly think she needs a break. Leila’s brother, Jamal, obviously has feelings for her despite knowing that she has a son. Little sweet gestures like giving her free food and offering to babysit are so endearing! You should keep an eye on these two.

This episode would not be complete without Corper Yasmin. She finally got her implant removed. At the clinic, she saw a classic case of a teenager being embarrassed because she inquired about contraceptive methods. I’m happy she set that nurse straight. This is one of the many reasons young people avoid sexual health clinics. We all need to do better.
