Shuga Star named First Runner-Up at Mr World

Shuga’s very own Emmanuel Ikubese, who plays Femi in Shuga Naija and Shuga: Love, Sex Money; was crowned the first runner-up at Mr World 2014. He also picked up the award for the ‘Most Stylish Contestant’. The Mr World contest took place on Sunday, June 15, with 46 men from across the globe vying for the coveted title.

The Mr Nigeria winner narrowly missed the top position which was awarded to Denmark’s Nicklass Pedersen, with Mr Mexico, taking third place. The team were subjected to two weeks of gruelling challenges, including the physically-demanding ‘Extreme Challenge’ and ‘Commando Assault Challenge’ lead by the Royal Marine Commando.

When asked to describe himself, Emmanuel said, “I’m a philanthropic person whose ambitions are supported by my go-getter attitude.” We totally agree! We all know Femi is a ladies’ man on screen, but Emmanuel has proven he is equally as charismatic in real life.
